The person who runs the game in the Canarian wrestling matches is the "mandador".
In Punta Brava Club the "mandador" is the same person as the coach, who was named the best coach in 2010; his name is Ignasio Ramos, known as Nacho.

The games can be done in several ways. On the one hand, "la corrida", which consists of playing one against one, and each team includes sixteen players. On the other hand is the "sistema reducido" (reduced system) in which there are twelve players in each team.
In addition, there are different categories: there are the schools (where there are further subcategories like ‘Benjamin’, up to 10 year old, ‘Alevín’ from eleven to twelve years old and ‘Infantil’ between thirteen and fourteen). Then there are ‘Cadetes’, aged between fifteen and sixteen years old, ‘Youth’, from seventeen to nineteen and finally Senior category, which is absolute.
In competitions, there are several levels. There are the "puntal" or “prop” ("puntal” A,” puntal” B and " puntal " C), “destacado” or “prominent” (destacado A, destacado B and destacado C) and finally the rest of the team members who do not have enough points to be ‘puntales’ or ‘destacados’
Finally, there is a female category, but it isn’t very usual.
